How distinguish Thermoplastic polyurethane coated webbing (TPU coated webbing) & PVC coated webbing?

Typically, Coated Webbing has thermoplastic polyurethane coated webbing (abbr. TPU coated webbing) and polyvinyl chloride coated webbing ( abbr. PVC coated webbing), then how should we distinguish them?
1. By burn outer coating: they will release smoke, the black color smoke is PVC coated webbing, the white color is TPU coated webbing (environmental friendly); 
2. By cold temperature (air conditioner): turn harder material is PVC coated webbing, still sofe is TPU coated webbing. (we can put this two materials into 100degrees hot water for 2minutes, then take them out into cold water for a while, the color of PVC coated webbing will turn white, but TPU coated webbing still. )
3. By chemical additives: Thermoplastic polyurethane coated webbing (TPU coated webbing) avoids chemical additives, but PVC coated webbing needs because of its inherent material properties.
4. By smelling: TPU coated webbing is odorless, but PVC coated webbing smells some kind of acrid especially under hot weather condition.
